THT Expands #Why I Like Trenton Photo Exhibit, Opening Event July 5

Trenton, NJ — Trenton Health Team invites the public to an expanded exhibit of images celebrating our Capital City, with a First Friday opening reception 5-8 pm July 5 at Base Camp Trenton, 247 E. Front Street.
THT ran the #WhyILikeTrenton photo contest throughout April to share pride in our city by highlighting Trenton’s assets and talent. The contest attracted more than 50 photos, with prizes awarded for #MostLikes, as well as to favorite photos selected by local celebrities mural artist Leon Rainbow, Harlem Globetrotter La’Keisha Sutton and fashion influencer Sino Lawery (Splash_Lifetstye).
THT will showcase #WhyILikeTrenton contest photos in a public exhibit recently expanded with 15 additional photos throughout July at Base Camp Trenton.
Trenton Health Team Executive Director Gregory Paulson awarded the prize for #MostLikes to Adam Nawrot, for his action photo of a Trenton bicycle polo player receiving nearly 400 “likes.”
Trenton native Habiyb Ali Shu’Aib (Beloved1 on Instagram) received prizes for photos of a street vendor and a happy young man chosen as favorites by Rainbow and Lawery. FanFavorite11 Sutton’s favorite photo of girlfriends on the playground was submitted by Foundation Academy seventh-grader Dyshae Ramos.
Contest winners received $200–$100 to keep and $100 to donate to a local nonprofit of their choice. Winners selected Trenton Cycling RevolutionArtworks and Foundation Academy.
“Trenton Health Team is focused on helping Trenton residents live healthy, happy lives,” said THT Executive Director Gregory Paulson. “While the city faces challenges, we also see creativity, resilience, caring, family and fun in this community. Thanks to all the photographers, judges and Base Camp Trenton for celebrating that.”
