The Commonwealth Fund Highlights Trinity Health, THT
by THT was included in The Commonwealth Fund’s newest quarterly publication, titled Transforming Care. The issue highlights how nonprofit hospitals across the country are leveraging charitable dollars, community investment funds, purchasing decisions, and connections to the community to promote healthier behaviors and stronger communities. For Trenton, the issue specifically highlights Trinity Health and its commitment to the Transforming Communities Initiative, a grant awarded to THT, announced February 2016.
THT was recognized, along with three other organizations (ProMedica, Bon Secours, and Dignity Health) for work in a variety of programs that address the needs of the nation’s sickest and/or neediest populations. THT was commended for direct support and policy advocacy, with a special highlight on our Faith in Prevention program and the Community Health Needs Assessment.
We are honored to be able to partner with Trinity Health in reaching beyond the walls of the hospital to provide programming and services to better serve the needs of Trenton’s residents.
