Em Ostrowski,
GIS & Data Analyst
Em Ostrowski joined Trenton Health Team in 2022, bringing their expertise to projects focused on spatial data analysis, health equity, and social determinants of health. Em leads the development of geospatial tools and visualizations that support THT’s community health initiatives, harm reduction work, and public health research.
Prior to joining THT, Em spent over a decade working at the intersection of conservation, data analysis, and GIS. They have held roles in nonprofit, academic, and conservation-focused settings, including projects on urban forestry, wildlife conservation, and ecological health, all emphasizing spatial thinking and data-driven decision making.
Em is proud to be part of THT’s mission driven team and deeply values the organization’s collaborative approach to improving community health. Passionate about making complex data more accessible and actionable, especially for underserved populations, they are committed to using GIS as a tool for justice and equity in public health.
Originally from Trenton, Em is a second-generation Polish American with strong community ties in the region. They now live with their partner and a small parade of rescue animals. Em enjoys hiking, board games, working on creative projects, and spending time outdoors—especially with their service dog, Bask.
Em holds a B.S. in Ecology and Natural Resources with a certificate in Environmental Geomatics from Rutgers University and is currently completing a Master of Geographic Information Systems through Penn State University.
