This session aims to understand the experiences people with disabilities encounter when trying to become more involved, what is needed from community organizations, the city, county or state to make their involvement more mainstream, and initiatives in which members of the disability community would like to be more involved.

Eliminating those barriers is the goal of our Inclusive Healthy Communities Initiative supported by the New Jersey Division of Disability Services(DDS) to incorporate the skills, contributions, needs, and priorities of those with disabilities into the ongoing work of THT and our community partners.
