Matthew Broad joined the Trenton Health Team in January 2017 as coordinator for the Robert W. Johnson Foundation demonstration project, Wheels to Wellness Mobile Health Clinic.
Matthew now co-chairs the Trenton Food Stakeholders, a collaborative of more than 50 organizations working to address food systems issues facing our region. Matthew also oversees our school wellness program, which includes managing our All Kids Thrive project funded by the Princeton Area Community Foundation.
Prior to joining THT, Matthew worked at the Rutgers Center for State Health Policy. While there, he worked extensively in Trenton and Newark as part of the New Jersey Child Health Study.Â
Matthew earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Montclair State University, where he graduated Cum Laude; and a Master in Public Health degree with a concentration in Urban Health Administration from Rutgers State University.
Matthew is passionate about combating food insecurity, school health and wellness, and transforming the built environment. In his spare time, he enjoys skateboarding and has been an active volunteer with Freedom Skatepark, a Trenton noprofit community program.
