Zackiya Grant, MPH,
Community Health Screening Manager
Zackiya joined the Trenton Health Team in October 2019, as the Community Health Screening Manager. She is passionate about bringing services to the community, meeting people where they are, and improving the quality of the health in the community
Prior to joining Trenton Health Team, Zackiya worked as a Sr. Research Program Coordinator with Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. Her work focused on training students in HIV and hepatitis C education, point of care testing, and counseling. She also worked with community partners to collaborate on large-scale testing events to improve the health of vulnerable populations impacted by HIV and/or hepatitis C virus (HCV).
Zackiya earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA and her Masters of Public Health, Health Service, Policy, and Management from the University of South Carolina, Columbia. During her time at Spelman, she focused on outreach through community service at a local high school. She tutored and mentored in an after-school program. While at USC, she focused on quality improvement at local SNAP and Medicaid offices. They aimed to reduce wait times and ease of access to social services.
