Margaret Cowell, Director of Community Engagement
Margaret Cowell joined the Trenton Health Team in December 2022 as Director of Community Engagement to lead THT’s efforts to build, sustain, and grow partnerships with local residents and community-based organizations (CBOs) to achieve improved health and well-being for community members.
Prior to joining THT, Margaret worked with Crisis Ministry/Arm In Arm for 16 years as a social services program director and Director of Operations. She collaborated with non-profit, government, corporate and funder organizations in Trenton and Mercer County. Margaret managed programs including Hunger Prevention, All Kids Thrive (reducing elementary school chronic absenteeism), Workforce Development, Driver License Restoration, and Volunteer Recruitment, with an overarching goal in each to improve the stability of community members through access to nutritious food, housing, employment, and transportation.
Margaret earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Seton Hall University with a major in Computer Science.
As a life-long resident of Trenton and Hamilton and social services professional, Margaret is committed to and invested in strengthening our community.
