Ernie Morganstern, MPA,
Senior Director of Population Health
Ernie Morganstern joined Trenton Health Team in July, 2017 as Senior Director of Population Health.
Prior to joining THT, Ernie most recently served as VP for Care Management at a national firm serving the frail elderly on behalf of Managed Care Organizations. There, he oversaw the clinical and business operations of multidisciplinary care teams, designed and implemented new models of care, and supported his team through the design and implementation of a web-based platform for care management assessment, care planning, documentation, and reporting. Before that, he served as a paramedic in Brooklyn, NY.
At THT, Ernie enjoys the opportunity to make a difference addressing access to care and other health equity issues that he encountered during his EMS work in communities similar to Trenton, by assisting an engaged community in building strong bridges to care, and by addressing the medical, social and environmental factors that contribute to community health.
Married to a high school history teacher and father to twin daughters, Ernie loves to cook and spend time in the outdoors.
Ernie earned a Masters degree in Public Administration (MPA) in Health Care Policy from the Marxe School of Public and International Affairs of Baruch College in New York City, as well as a BS in Business (awarded summa cum laude) with a concentration in Management from the College of Staten Island.
