It celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Community Mental Health Act of 1963. Dr. Perry was one of the health professionals gathered to celebrate and commemorate this groundbreaking law, which was signed by President John F. Kennedy. It changed the way those with intellectual and developmental disabilities were treated.
